Record breaking!

Well the title says it.
So to just take you through time last week Monday night, Tuesday, and Wednesday were great days. We worked worked, worked, taught some families, ate well, had ice cream, smiled, studied on our roof and enjoyed missionary life. Then Wednesday night rolled around, we ate a late dinner at these two sisters house and at the time I could have told you it was the best food I had in Ecuador. We got home that night, went to bed and I woke up to Hma. Castillo barfing at 12:30am. She threw up 14 times in 12 hours. On Thursday evening I started and we were both beyond sick. I honestly thought I was going to die. We both have never puked so much in our lives. Along with the Zone leaders on the phone with us barfing at their house cause they ate the same thing. We went to the clinic to be tested for parasites, and it just came back that we had stomach infections. We both drank Gatorade for 3 days straight. I will never drink it again haha! So we took some crazy Ecuadorian pills, no clue what they had in them and somehow I am emailing right now. IT WAS HORRIABLE, this brings me to the point that the only picture I took this week is Hma Castillo and I lying in bed in between barfing.
Well that was that, it has been one barf week. There is a 1st for everything.

On more of a spiritual note, our ward here in Conocoto is preparing to go on their yearly trip to the temple. They all take a bus to Guayaquil which is very expensive and a HUGE deal. It has been so humbling to see the people save and save money to be able to attend the temple. A couple families will be sealed and people preparing to serve missions. The people here are amazing; our neighbor is some really old women. She brought us over some strange thing when she found out we were deathly ill and our moms were not here.
This week has been one for the books; I have never felt so weak yet so happy to be here. I am sooo thankful my companion and I are like sisters it made the entire experience not so dreadful. I know with all my heart this is the best thing I could be doing right now, helping, serving and loving the people of Ecuador.
I love and miss you all so much.  I hope you have a great week.
Para siempre dios este con vos
Con Amor

Hermana Merrill:)
